In Riots' latest League trailer, the final result of Udyr VGU is revealed ...

Riot Games has released a teaser that demonstrates the improvements made to the Spirit Walkers' visuals and gameplay.

Riot released the poll results that indicated Udyr would be the next champion to receive a visual and gameplay update (VGU) at the beginning of the 2021 League of Legends season. These kinds of updates differ from normal visual updates because they alter one or many abilities of the reworked champion.

With Udyr, the Spirit Walker, life is not in the struggle, not the triumph.

Udyr's new base form is shown in a YouTube video, along with new effects for his abilities. Starting with the strength of the bear, Udyr can summon bear-like claws that have similar electric powers to Volibears passive abilities.

Udyr's second ability is linked to the ram's drive, allowing him to summon the animal's horns and, unlike Ornns ultimate ability, stun every opponent hit with it. Next is the will of the boar, which looks to give the Spirit Walker a shield and some armor and magic resistance.

The last ability showcased and introduced for Udyr is the cold fury of the phoenix, which is linked to Anivias' power. Much like the ultimate ability of the Cryophoenix, Udyr seems to evocate a snow storm around him that damages and slows down the enemies hit.

This one, like most VGUs, ties Udyrs lore and who he is to his new abilities, giving the Spirit Walker a stronger connection to the other Freljord champions. In his gameplay update video, League fans can see this duality, with Udyr landing both AP and AD attacks on his foes, while deepening his connection with the spirits he takes the power of.

League players can anticipate the updated Spirit Walker to arrive on the live servers in the coming months, with new visuals and gameplay for Udyrs.
