Agumon is the game's mascot and the primary Digimon you can recruit in Survive. He is the first Digimon you permanently recruit in Survive, and he will remain with you throughout your journey in the mysterious world.
Are there other Agumon in Digimon Survive?
Agumon has a rare opportunity to appear in Shadow Battles when you scan roomswith your phones camera while you are exploring. If you notice a shadowy figure while you are fighting him, Agumon might be one of them. In Shadow Battles around Part 4, your partner Agumon will have a face that represents the protagonists.
How to recruit Agumon
In battle, you can recruit an Agumon using the Talk option in the fight menu. The enemy Digimon will ask you three questions during the play. If you give them answers they want to hear, you can recruit them at the end of the conversation. There is a bar above your answers that indicates how satisfied they are with your answers.

The difference between Agumon's partner and other Agumon
Your partner Agumon can Digivolve in the middle of battles and will revert to normal Agumon. Other Agumon can't Digivolve during fights. In the Status selection on the main menu, you can unlock new Digivolutions for all of your Digimon.
If you unlock one of the other Agumon's Greymon evolution, then that Agumon will be Greymon. He will not be changed back to Agumon, but will only evolve into the next Digivolution like MetalGreymon. Only partner Digimon will revert to their Rookie forms, while the other Digimon remain evolved.
Certain Digivolutions are exclusive to your partner Digimon and vice versa. All Agumon can Digivolve into Greymon and Tyrannomon, but only your partner Agumon can Digivolve into Tuskmon. Likewise, other Agumon can Digivolve into Cyclonemon while your partner Agumon cannot.
