Someone spent six years remastering an unreleased Warcraft game ...

A never-officially-released Warcraft point-and-click adventure game developed by Blizzard in the late 90s was leaked online a few years ago. While the game was excellent back then, the cutscenes were poor-quality, badly compressed, and many were just missing from the leak. Now, after years of effort, someone has remastered all of the cutscenes, fixed them, and made it easier to see this piece of video game history.

DieSilver83, a modder at Indie Retro News and PC Gamer, has recently released the final 1.0 release of WACRP (Warcraft Adventures Cutscenes Remastered Project). The mod contains 20 completely remastered cutscenes, two of which were previously unveiled via a different DVD leak.

In the following video, you can see an example of what this mod and its improved cutscenes look like:

According to the modder and the project's website, a lot of work was done. All of the compression artifacts from all of the cutscenes were manually removed. The modder also used Photoshop to painstakingly redraw entire frames and assets, frame-by-frame. Several new transitional scenes have been created entirely from scratch. All audio was also synced and everything runs at the correct 12fps.

DerSilver83 claims to have been working on this mod for around six years, and this latest 1.0 release marks the end of the project. They stated in a tweet on July 31 that they have done all they can in a reasonable timeframe and are pleased with the final product.

On the projects site, DerSilver83 stated that he wants to keep this project as something that fun before it becomes a burden. I hope everyone who uses it will enjoy it as much as I do. I always wanted to achieve (or at least tried) that.

Gaming!Uses exclusive ultra-fast wireless technology to ensure that your mouse is faster than you are, can be sued alongside special software for extremely customizable performance, and has 11 buttons to mess around with, a hyper-fast scroll wheel, and RGB lighting too.

This mod is designed to only include the remastered cutscenes, so you'll need to do some internet searching to locate the necessary files to play the whole game.
