First Dates star Fred Sirieix has good reason to be ecstatic right now. His daughter Andrea has won a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Fred wasted no time in expressing his joy, posting a photo of his daughter holding the medal and the Commonwealth Games mascot toy in her hands on Instagram.
"I have been replaying yesterday's event on a loop in my head non stop," wrote the author.
"That last dive!" he said. Wow! Wow! Wow! Truly the stuff of champions! #goAndrea #diving #10m #platform #commonwealthgames2022

At the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, Andrea won a gold medal in the 10m platform.
Fred spoke directly to the BBC shortly after his daughter's historic victory, saying with visible elation and pride: "I feel like a king!"
"It's the Commonwealth Games, and my daughter receives gold. It can't get better than this, can't it?" he said.
"She loves and breathes diving," said the proud dad, who was there to cheer his daughter on during the Games. "She won and, phew, I can relax!"
Fred received lots of good wishes from fans and colleagues on social media, expressing his gratitude for his daughter's big victory.
Professional boxer Michael Conlan wrote: "Welcome to the clubs Andrea! Congratulations Fred to all the family."
"Congratulations, Fred, you must be so proud," said boxer John Ryder while joking.
Back in June, Fred and his girlfriend, whom he only refers to publicly as Fruitcake, will join the Celebrity Gogglebox fourth series.
According to The Sun, he is "delighted to be joining the Celebrity Gogglebox-ers for this series."
"It'll be quite strange to be on the show having been critiqued a few times in the regular series," he said.
"I am looking forward to the general public getting to know Fruitcake as well," he said.
First Dates is available on Channel 4.
