Who will introduce Ironheart, the Iron Man succeeding character in the film 'Wakanda Forever'? ...

Ironheart is one of the many Marvel Disney+ series announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, which will first appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as seen in the teaser released during the event. The series will premiere in late 2023 as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Five, including RuPaul's Drag Race alum Shea Coulee.

Riri Williams, an introverted 15-year-old engineering student who has become a certified super-genius, first appears in Marvel's Invincible Iron Man, Vol. 2 #7 in May 2016. While flying away from MIT, Riri discovers two inmates who are escaping from the New Mexico State Penitentiary, and welcomes her back to repair their armor.

Tony Stark falls into a stupa while defending Captain Marvel, urging Riri to maintain his legacy as a hero. With the help of an AI duplicate of Stark, Riri designs an improved armor and adopts the moniker Ironheart. She is soon offered Tony Stark's old lab by his mother Amanda, and membership in the teenaged superhero group The Champions.

Ironheart and Tony Stark AI join the Underground, a rebel force that includes heroes and civilians, when the Champions leave the Underground to slay Captain America with Black Widow's evil hands. The Underground defeats Hydra, frees young heroes, and hails the return of the real Captain America. Ironheart's outfit is destroyed, requiring her to design a new one.

Riri's mind is corrupted by Mephisto's son Blackheart, who turns her against her Champion teammates when she openly confesses to her crush. The result is a sincere apology from the android teammate who refuses to acknowledge the other's feelings.

Riri accepts MIT's offer to establish her own lab and continues to research and composit her own proper AI from scanning and compositing her brainwaves and memories. When the AI is complete, Riri is shocked, but happy, that the AI has taken the form of Natalie, her best friend she lost to gunfire at the age of 13.

Ironheart discovers a villain named Eclipse that is responsible for halting the zombie outbreak by capturing the criminal. She meets Dr. Strange in Wakanda, where she receives the key to the Wellspring, granting her the opportunity to overthrow the Ten Rings, thus earning her the Circlet of Bast.

The Underage Superhuman Welfare Act (USWA) prohibits teenager vigilantism, sending Riri to New York to provide security for clandestine meetings of the teen Champions, and NATALIE assists a few of the refugee heroes escape, bringing them to Riri's home in Chicago. Unknowingly, the refugee heroes bring the authorities to her house, but soon decide to confront the forces head on, which ultimately results in the dissolution of CRADLE and the repeal of the USWA.

Ironheart's brief but powerful comic book history has been caught up in the following: the Black Panther sequel and the series' late 2023 release date, but there isn't much more information available about the series. Thorne as Riri and Lyric Ross as "Riri's best friend" are the only two confirmed roles, with no word on whether 'best friend' is Natalie, Letitia Wright's Shuri, or who else.
