The rollback netcode update for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has been released ...

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, a fighting game that features the famous JRPG, has received a rollback network code update, as announced today by ATLUS during the first day of EVO 2022.

Many gamers were surprised when Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was relaunched during The Game Awards 2021. Despite being well received, the new version was dismal in terms of online play due to the lack of rollback network code technology. Network code reversal technology can provide more fluid online matches for fighting games where timing and accuracy are the keys to victory.

ATLUS had announced earlier that they would be working on a rollback version, causing an uproar among fans who wanted to experience the game in its best condition. Starting today, players may update their game for free, and experience the online mode at its finest level on a Sony console and PC.

As of yet, Nintendo Switch version players have not received the update. Today's announcement provided no indication that the updates would be available at any future date for the Switch.

Players on consoles simply need to update their game. For the PC version of the update, players must have access to a beta version.

  • Access Persona 4 Arena Ultimax from your Steam library
  • Right-click and go to Properties
  • Go to the BETAS tab
  • Enter the following passcode: p4auopenbeta03
  • From the drop-down menu, select open_beta_3

Players will be able to play the game with rollback netcode enabled once they have completed the beta version, which should result in a much smoother online experience.
