Fans of Strictly Come Dancing will get some exciting news as the show announces award-winning comedian Jayde Adams as its sixth contestant.
"Every step I've taken in my career over the previous 11 years was to be on Strictly," she said in a statement.
"I cannot begin to express how much I am experiencing, this means so much to me and my family. I've always loved it, except for a brief hiatus in 2011 when I was relentlessly gigging every weekend to try and catch up on Strictly Come Dancing.
"I've been a huge supporter of the program for years. I'm experiencing myself in a dream, and I'm unable to believe I've manifested this."
Jayde has appeared in BBC Two's BAFTA-winning comedy Alma's Not Normal, Amazon Prime's Good Omens, and BBC One's The Outlaws. She has also hosted Netflix's Crazy Delicious and co-hosted Channel 4's BAFTA-nominated Snackmasters.
Adams is the host of a BBC Radio 4 podcast called Welcome to the Neighbourhood. As of right now, she is performing with her stand-up show Men, I Can Save You at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The show's star-studded lineup is slowly being revealed as it was recently announced that Kaye Adams from Loose Women has joined the show as a contestant.
"I wanted to make my fifties' final year special, and I can't think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet," the presenter said in a statement.
Will Mellor, who plays Will and a Packet of Crisps in the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing, Kym Marsh, BBC Radio 2 star Richie Anderson, and TV and radio presenter Kaye Adams are among the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
In due course, more announcements will be made.
On BBC One, Strictly Come Dancing is available.
