The arcade cabinet version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is being rereleased ...

Thanks to retro arcade specialists Arcade1Up, Capcom's famous crossover fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes is getting a new rerelease. There are also seven other Capcom fighting games based on Marvel Comics characters in the arcade cabinet.

The Arcade1Ups Marvel vs. Capcom 2 cabinet will be available for pre-order starting September 8, according to the company at Evo 2022 on Friday, and will ship sometime this autumn. Other games included in the cabinet include the original Marvel vs. Capcom (previously released as part of Arcade1Ups retro cabinet lineup), Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men Children of the Atom, and Marvel Super Heroes in the War of the Gems.

Here's a closer inspection of the cabinet:

Arcade1Up did not specify a price, but the previous two-player fighting game cabinets cost typically $449.99 or $499.99.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was originally released in arcades in 2000, but it was later ported to Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, and the original Xbox. The game, which includes a total of 56 characters derived from Marvel Comics and Capcom lore, was a staple of the fighting game scene and competed in the annual Evo Championship Series annually until 2009. Capcom released a sequel, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, in 2011.
