The primary concern has always been where the game might be set since the rumors surrounding The Elder Scrolls 6 first broke. There are a few relatively unexplored areas that have dominated the previous debate.
High Rock, a relatively isolated and mysterious area, is a well-known and intriguing location for The Elder Scrolls 6 title.
The Elder Scrolls 6: High Rock - Daggerfall
Daggerfall, which was once the primary setting for The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, is now known as the capital of the province. Daggerfall is the seat of the Kingdom of Daggerfall, one of the eight major kingdoms in the province. No game set within High Rock would be complete without featuring Daggerfall.
Daggerfall, which is one of the most powerful cities in Tamriel due to the volume of trade it commands, is recognized as one of the most varied and engaging locations in the Elder Scrolls 6 setting.
The Elder Scrolls 6: High Rock - Rivenspire
Rivenspire is a major historical and political value within High Rock, and is likely to be the source of High Rock's geopolitical quests.
The great Breton houses of Montclair, Tamrith, and Dorell, who are each locked in a political impasse over the region, have displayed their valuableness in any form of storytelling or world-building within the setting of High Rock. One example of a historic ruin within Rivenspire is the Crypt of Hearts, which contains the remains of a historic school of destruction magic.
The Elder Scrolls 6: High Rock - Wayrest
Wayrest, known as one of Tamriel's most affluent and strikingly beautiful cities, is another large and well-populated city. Most of Wayrest's custom and wealth can be attributed to its close proximity to the Bjoulsae River.
Wayrest, a heavily fortified city, is deeply religious and dedicates its worship to the divine goddess Akatosh, who has been mentioned frequently throughout The Elder Scrolls' history. Perhaps one of the most fascinating aspects of the city is the existence of the Montalian Clan of vampires.
The Elder Scrolls 6: High Rock - Balfiera
The Isle of Balfiera is one of the few islands that fall under the province of High Rock. One of the largest islands within the aforementioned Iliac Bay, Balfiera is most well-known for being the ancestral home of the Direnni Hegemony.
The Elder Scrolls 6 would be an essential resource for players to explore a significant aspect of High Rock's history. The original Breton people were thought to be distant descendants of historic Elven beings, hence the latter's unusual affinity for magic and similar physiology to Elven-kind.
The Elder Scrolls 6: High Rock - Alcaire
Alcaire, a major city in the province of High Rock, is another hugely influential place within the province of High Rock. Due to its size and importance to major events that affect the whole continent, it would be remiss for The Elder Scrolls 6 to neglect to mention Alcaire, should it be set in High Rock.
The city of Alcaire is the birthplace of a large and populous fiefdom that encapsulates the whole region, worshipping its own unique deity, Kynareth, who is well-known for the legendary Third Empire and a hugely influential figure in Tamriel's overall history. The Alcaire Knights are also well-known for their ability to keep the shores of High Rock safe from invasion from the Second Era.
Although it is currently up to speculation whether The Elder Scrolls 6 will be set within High Rock, it remains that the main locations in the province would make for an engaging gameplay experience.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently in development.
