In the next update, Halo Infinite will include ranked doubles as well as new visor customization ...

343 Industries announced on Friday that the next major update for Halo Infinites would enhance visor customization and reinstate the popular fan-favorite doubles playlist from previous Halo games. The update, dubbed the August Drop Pod, will be released next week on August 9.

Players may now use any helmet theyve purchased, regardless of the armor core they have in use. Mark VII helmets will also be a bit more customizable, as you can use certain Mark VII attachments on all Mark VII helmets.

The game will now support highly-requested doubles playlists, with both ranked and unranked versions expected next week. The developer said it would keep an eye on the new ranked playlist's health after its launch, and that more ranked playlists might be added in the future depending on existing ones' performance.

343 mentioned that the update would lay the foundation for adding a region select feature, but it isn't quite ready to be implemented yet.

The Halo Infinites multiplayer game has seen a lot of improvements, including the addition of the semi-battle royale playlist Last Spartan Standing. The campaign has also seen its fair share of improvements, with a recent network test allowing players to try out the games co-op campaign and mission replay feature.
