Changes to Halo Infinite Are Coming in Next Week's Update ...

On August 9, Halo Infinite will get a fresh Drop Pod update that will focus primarily on fan-requested improvements. This includes visor cross-compatibility, helmet attachments, and additional ranked playlists.

Lone Wolves is the second season of Halo Infinite, which was initially planned to be a shorter season, before being extended to accommodate more development time on missing features for the game. However, co-op is showing signs of life with recent playtest sessions. Next week's update may prove that 343 Industries is serious about preserving its promises to fans.

343 Industries has written a blog post on Halo Waypoint discussing the next Drop Pod update, which will focus on community-requested features in the future. The first significant change is how every current and future visor color will now work on all helmets and across all cores.

The Mark VII armor core has introduced new helmet attachments, which many Halo Infinite fans have requested for a long time. However, 343 Industries had to take numerous considerations regarding art style changes and clipping issues before finally implementing the feature. The developer will also include a full list of possible combinations when the update launches on August 9.

343 Industries will add more ranked playlists shortly after the Drop Pod update is released, as well as a Social variant and a Competitive Skill Reset. Halo Infinite's flagship first-person shooter still has a lot of work to do before it fulfills its promises.

Halo Infinite is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
