Where to Find the 'Predator' Prequel's Dubbed Version in Comanche

Where to Find the 'Predator' Prequel's Dubbed Version in Comanche ...

Prey, the next installment of the Predator franchise, is now available for viewing on Netflix. Because the story takes place in the Comanche Nation, viewers may choose to watch an alternate version of the film that features Comanche dubbing. That way the audience gets to experience Naru (Amber Midthunder) and her tribe's survival against the technological alien who invades their house.

Dan Trachtenberg, the same filmmaker who directed 10 Cloverfield Lane, worked side-by-side with producer and member of the Comanche and Blackfeet nations, Jhane Myers. In the final scenes of Prey, many members of the Native American community were involved.

Here is a brief guide to assist you in making your decision about a language. Prey in Comanche is a short film about Prey in Comanche.

Where Can I Watch Prey in Comanche?

On August 5, the dubbed version of the film will be available for streaming on Hulu and Disney+. To change the audio settings to Comanche via Hulu, click the settings button after the film starts playing and change the language. If you are watching Prey through Disney+, click on the audio icon in the top corner of your screen and substitute the English audio for the Comanche dubbing.

Is Prey Available In Theatres?

Prey's worldwide release differed from those of previous Predator films and most franchise films of recent times. Instead of spending a few weeks in theaters before coming on streaming, Trachtenberg's take on the franchise skipped the big screen after its screening at Comic-Con.

The ensemble cast returned after the English version was finalized to dub the film in Comanche. Here is what actor Dakota Beavers had to say to Variety about the learning and speaking of Comanche in Prey.

I wanted to ensure that the language was as correct as I could get it. I had a good friend of mine, so I could sit down there with him. It was important to me, because it was important to preserve the language for the future generation.

Why Should You Watch Prey in Comanche Instead of English?

Although the majority of viewers will understand the story in English, seeing Prey in Comanche would allow viewers to honor the language and cultural heritage that form the narrative's foundation. Instead of only partially experiencing the Comanche tribe and setting present in the film, you get the chance to fully immerse yourself in the narrative and witness the way the film was intended to be.

Trachtenberg's original pitch stated that the whole dialogue would be dubbed in Comanche, but the idea was discarded later on. Yet, having a dubbed version available through streaming is already a worthwhile achievement. This is the first feature film to be completely dubbed in Comanche (and to have Comanche subtitles as well), which is an aspect that deserves the recognition of fans who grew up watching the Predator franchise.

Myers Said in a recent interview with Digital Spy, she's been amazed that a film like this would be available in her native language. And there's never been a brand-new film released for any Native language that's never been released.

When asked what it was like for Myers to have this project come her way, Here's what Myers told Collider's Christina Radish:

I was so ecstatic when everything went down with the epidemic, and then things started slowly happening again. I loved the whole script of the Comanche, and I probably still am. This film will take you through a lot of things that are so unpredictable. This has never happened on a brand-new film that is coming out.

I was so excited that everything had stopped working because to the epidemic, and then things started slowly happening again. I was ecstatic at the prospect that I might interview Dan. It's amazing how the film unfolds in my language, and I'm sure that's why I'm interested in this one.
