In Disney's Haunted Mansion reboot, Jared Leto and Jamie Lee Curtis have landed iconic roles ...

Jared Leto, who plays Halloween, and Halloween's Jamie Lee Curtis have officially boarded the Haunted Mansion reboot.

This family-friendly story follows Rosario Dawson's Gabbie and her young son (played by Chase Dillon) as they go to New Orleans for a better life, only to discover that their stately new accommodations are haunted by mysterious activity.

While OneTakeNews broke Curtis' casting as Madame Leota, Entertainment Weekly confirms Leto will play The Hatbox Ghost (could he go full Method and wear a top hat in the recording booth?).

Gabbie and her son's spooky problems get them: "Desperate for help, they contact a priest (Owen Wilson), who then seeks the help of a widowed scientist-turned-fake-paranormal expert (Tiffany Haddish) and a crotchety historian (Danny DeVito."

Talk about star power.

Let's hope The Haunted Mansion performs much better with audiences than Leto's Spider-Man spin-off Morbius, which Digital Spy deemed a "bland and confused throwback" in our two-star review this March.

Curtis is also working on a Borderlands film, in which she portrays the crazed Dr Patricia Tannis opposite Jack Black's Claptrap, Cate Blanchett's Lilith, and Kevin Hart's Roland.

"MONDAY JUST GOT WAY F'ING BETTER!" she tweeted back when her involvement was first announced.

"I'm looking forward to joining @eliroth@KevinHart4real and @CateBlanchett in @Lionsgate fun, run and gun, and kick off some ASS thrill ride!"

The Haunted Mansion is scheduled to be released on March 10, 2023.
