Capcom is currently hyping Street Fighter 6 as one of the company's most anticipated games of 2023. This sixth mainline entry will feature several new abilities and characters, including the implementation of Street Fighter 6's World Tour single-player campaign and the addition of heavily requested features such as rollback netcode and crossplay.
The real-time commentary track for Street Fighter 6 was unveiled during Sony's June State of Play presentation. Capcom is partnering with well-known personalities from the Fighting Game Community to include their voices directly into the game. It will not only make it feel like a tournament match, but it will also provide additional information about the game's mechanics for new players.
Steve Scott, best known as "Tasty Steve," and James Chen will serve as commentary in the game during competitive Street Fighter tournaments like at EVO. This trailer demonstrates how a Guile player will respond to certain techniques on-screen, such as a Flash Kick at the most appropriate time, acting as an "anti-air" maneuver.
Both Jason Chen and Tasty Steve expressed their thanks for participating in Street Fighter 6. Despite these two being legendary in the competitive scene, many fans expressed their happiness at their participation in the game.
Capcom has already announced that two well-known commentators, Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez and Aru, will be included in Street Fighter 6 as commentators. This feature will also support subtitles in 13 different languages for accessibility, as well as multiple language tracks. Hands-on demonstrations of Street Fighter 6 have revealed that these play-by-plays may be turned on and off.
Street Fighter 6 will be released in 2023 for PC, PS4, and Xbox Series X/S.
