Drew Scott, a new dad, has discovered that having a newborn at home makes life a lot easier. In recent days, the HGTV star has spoken publicly about what it's been like since he and his wife Linda welcomed their first child, Parker James, on May 12, 2022, which happened to be their fourth wedding anniversary.
The Property Brothers star is reveling in the first weeks of parenthood, from the joy of seeing his son's eyes to the stench of unending dirty diapers.
Scott Juggles and Sniffs Dirty Diapers in a New Video
Drew Scott's tweet (@mrdrewscott) was shared.
Scott shared an Instagram video from when he was a kid, showing off all kinds of tricks on his sleeves. He and his twin brother Jonathan were Canadian National Champions in karate, participated in bagpiping competitions, and even worked as a clown for a time.
Scott wrote in a post about his childhood picture that he'd rather see what he's juggling now. Scott then picked up and juggling three dirty diapers, sniffing one of them, and looking disgusted. The reel ended with a quick photo of him holding baby Parker in one arm and holding the infant's outfit with a giant poop stain on it.
Scott wrote, "Patients juggle a lot of things." I just happen to be good at juggling one particular thing and added a poop emoji and baby emoji. In 2019, HGTV captured a little brotherly competition between him and Jonathan juggling balls rather than diapers.
New Dad Says He Has Discovered a New Level of Love
Drew Scott's tweet is (@mrdrewscott) and is in awe of what he has done.
Scott has a different perspective on being a father. In an Entertainment Tonight interview on Aug. 3, he revealed that the experience has opened his eyes to new insights.
He said it opens up a part of you that you did not know you had. You think you know.
He said that he not only loves his son, but that becoming a new father has increased his love for his wife as well.
I have this great admiration for Linda but then, all of a sudden, that's the shallow pool, according to the speaker. Although I'm not saying that Linda is shallow, I do love Linda, but there's a whole other dimension to Linda and my love for Parker. It's amazing just seeing him when he looks at you, and you'll be moved by his presence.
Scott, who was interviewed during the shooting of a new season of HGTV's Brother vs. Brother, has revealed that he and Linda have not hired any nannies or babysitters for Parker.
Linda and I are doing everything right now, according to his statement. I have a busy filming schedule and Linda is taking care of Parker during filming, but it's full-time with Parker when Im not here 24/7. We just don't want to miss those moments when he's little. I don't want to miss any of that.
