  • Stuff packs: Small-sized packs usually focus on one small idea or theme, such asTiny LivingorParanormal.

All Sims 4 Expansion Packs, Ranked

Journey to Batuu is a Sims 4 game set inspired by the Disney theme land Galaxys Edge in California. This pack takes Sims players to a new dimension that combines the theme park and the iconic Star Wars films.

In theory, this collaboration sounds like a win, but it is the most lacking in practice. Rather than a pack devoted to showcasing the magnificence ofStar Wars, Journey to Batuu feels like a big advertisement for theGalaxys Edgetheme park, it lacks any real depth.

The greatest faults of the packs are the lack of replayability and gameplay outside of specificStar Wars gameplay. Players may join the Resistance, First Order, or scoundrels, but regardless of what they choose, the path feels linear and shallow.

The create a sim assets in this pack are specific and unusable outside of this pack. This can also be said for the build/buy items, although players who are building space or alien-themed structures may find more use.

Lightsabers, one of the most popular Star Wars items, are little more than swing toys that any regular Sim can use to play with. There is no way to become Jedi or Sith in the pack, and although Kylo Ren and Rey can be seen in Batuu, they are superficial props.

Journey to Batuu is unfortunately the worst of all game packs available for massive Star Wars fans. This pack will feel empty and a disappointment.

StrangerVillesuffers has the same problem asJourney to Batuuas; it also has a linear storyline that restricts replayability. While the storyline ofJourney to Batuudoes has more replayability due to having three different branches that players can choose,StrangerVilleis ultimately superior due to the usefulness of the world, the build/buy items, and the create a sim assets.

The plot ofStrangerVilleand is an absolute blast to learn, but once players have played through it, they may not want to return to it for a long time. Fortunately, the town does have a unique desert, a rural style that is quite usable once the mystery is solved.

The furniture and other building items included inStrangerVille are both extremely useful in different builds. Players interested in constructing futuristic houses will appreciate the included glass and door items.

StrangerVille is a solid pack, and players looking for a mystery or a story-driven adventure will enjoy it. Just remember to keep the Mother from disturbing you.

The Jungle Adventure concept is both original and unique, and this is also its weakness. Because this pack is so unique, it is difficult to find use for it in everyday gameplay. This is not a style of gameplay that fits well with most playstyles.

Selvadorada's vacation world is bursting with danger, adventure, and exploration, and Jungle Adventure is a great game for those who like archeology and an exploration-based lifestyle.

The Outdoor Retreat pack is ideal for sims players who want to explore the great outdoors. Granite Falls is a great camping location loaded with activities such as fishing, cooking near fire pits, and exploration areas.

Parts of Outdoor Retreat are a bit dull, and most players don't use vacation worlds very often, but it's a decent package for players who want to include camping and exploration in their gameplay.

Spa Day allows players to create or visit spas that offer unique strategies to manage stressful moodlets. Players may also learn how to meditate, take a massage, relax in the sauna, and participate in a variety of activities to find peace and serenity.

This pack was fantastic when it was released, but it became even better following the release of new content. The Sims 4team revamped the game, adding nails to the base game, and new nail designs, makingSpa Day a solid choice among the game packs.

While Realm of Magic isn't going to fit into everyday gameplay, it is a solid pack that plays its theme fairly well. This pack focuses on Spellcasters, a wizard-based occult that can spell spells, craft potions, and fly on brooms.

Outside of the context of Spellcasters and a magical theme, the world that comes with the pack, Glimmerbrook, is a bit small and difficult to use. However, the entrance in the regular world leads to a stunning Spellcaster exclusive world with a dueling terrain, a magical shopping center, and a mansion that players may visit to enhance their learning.

The create a sim and buy assets are very magical and stunning. While some of the assets are specific to this style, many are also quite useful beyond being for spellcasters.

Spellcasters have a skill tree and can also learn all kinds of useful spells, such as one that makes food appear instantly, allows them to teleport, and can repair anything instantly.Realm of Magic is a solid pack that will delight any Simsplayers' gameplay.

My Wedding Stories is one of the most controversial games in The Simsexistence. It has the greatest world of any game pack in Tartosa, a stunning beach world, fantastic formal items, and the build/buy options make wedding planning difficult.

The issue stems from the fact that the pack was launched with an unprecedented amount of bugs and issues that still leave this pack tainted. When it was launched, this pack was unplayable for almost every Simsplayer.

The ability to have a more customized and in-depth wedding is fantastic and adds a lot to storytelling. My Wedding Stories may be higher if not for the insane amount of bugs the pack has encountered, but it is still a wonderful pack.

Due to its unpredictable nature, the number of players who encounter regular bugs and glitches with this pack drives us to rank it lower. Dine Out is a great pack when it works, but it oftentimes just fails to function correctly.

When the pack is functioning correctly, players can design and run their own eateries, menus, visit established eateries, order unique food items, and have a full culinary experience. This pack is a great way to expand upon the activities that Simscan does daily.

Are you looking for a terrifying monster out of nightmares or a sparkling teen heartthrob who will enchant everyone who sees them.

The greatest part of becoming a Vampire is the detailed skill tree that comes along with it. Players will earn points to spend on powerful abilities such as the ability to transform into a bat, change other Sims into Vampires, and live forever.

Forgotten Hollow is the spooky, gothic, and dark world that comes with this pack. It's great for Vampire Sims, but it's not very usable outside of this particular style. This world is also always full of Vampires, which means any Sim who isn't one will be in constant danger of being attacked by one.

Vampires is an all-around solid pack that includes many bonuses for players who prefer a more occult-centric gameplay style.

The newest occult pack is likely to be released, and werewolves agree that the Sims 4team took everything they learned from creating all of the other occults and drastically improved on it. The occult system in this pack is so powerful that all other occults need a refresh to even come close.

This pack's build/buy assets are quite worn out, broken, and used. This style is quite unlike anything else on the market, but it's suitable for players who want something more rundown or messy.

Werewolves have also evolved special abilities that can boost their chance of turning, such as ability to manipulate hidden tunnels or learn deeplore from The Sims.Werewolves is a complex, detailed, and engaging pack that will enthuse any occult player.

The Interior Decorator career in this pack is by far the finest among the active careers in The Sims 4. Players are allowed to renovate and remodel the homes of other Sims to earn Simoleons.

The build/buy capabilities in this pack are impressive because they are straightforward and usable in many ways. Many pieces of furniture are also modular and may be combined in many ways to make unique units. This pack's main selling point is its versatility.

The create a sim items also have a wide variety of assets for all ages, as well as many simple items that will go well with a wide range of outfits. Dream Home Decorator is a rich pack that offers players an engaging career, fantastic building assets, and lovely create a sim items.

Parenthood, a pack that focuses on family, is the best game pack in Sims 4. It includes the skill of Parenting, new options like discipline or rewarding behavior, and the ability to completely shape what a child is like based on the choices players make for them.

This pack includes several build/buy items that are also really helpful. You can find colorful posters for children's rooms, stunning cabinets, realistic clutter, and other average family home items that add a homey feel to any house.

The inclusion of hair, clothing, shoes, and other create-a-sim items in this pack are also a strong selling point. While many other packs leave a little girl, children, and toddler fashion behind,Parenthoodboasts solid options for all ages.

Parenthood is by far the best game pack available and a must-have for any Sims player who wants meaningful, honest, and deep family relationships in their gameplay.
