Ali Fedotowsky, an ex Bachelorette, believes she's lucky to have had cancer ...

Ali Fedotowsky-Manno, an ex-bachelorette, is the exception. In an interview with Insider on July 30, 2022, she talked about how her diagnosis of skin cancer five years ago has changed her outlook on life and the way she cares for her children.

I feel fortunate to have had cancer, but I do, according to the outlet. I learned about it early, when the cancer could be removed during an outpatient exam. After that, I began using my platform to educate people about the importance of skin health.

Alis Story

Ali Manno (Fedotowsky) (@ali.manno) has shared a post.

Fedotowsky-Manno told Insider that she noticed a small lump on her stomach that she was concerned about. She went to the doctor and was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BBC), according to the Skin Cancer Foundation (SCF). BCC most often occurs when DNA damage caused by sun or indoor tanning changes the basal cells in the outermost layer of skin (epidermis).

The 37-year-old said to Us Weekly that cancer isn't life-threatening if you catch it that early, but nevertheless, hearing it can be scary. No matter how treatable it may be, it's still a scary word to hear. I mean, when the words came out of his mouth, my stomach fell because I didn't know what it was.

The Season 6 Bachelorette told Insider that she grew up during a time when tanning and looking good took precedence over skin health. She would go to the tanning salon twice a week, and she never gave skin cancer a second thought. That all changed when she received her diagnosis.

Im now adamant about protecting myself and my kids from sunburn. My 6-year-old daughter, Molly, will remind me when we leave the house. I love that she takes pride in preserving skin protection from childhood Fedotowsky-Manno revealed to Insider.

Fedotowsky-Manno, according to Us Weekly, is active in urging fans to be vigilant about their skincare, leveraging the American Cancer Society's assistance.

A Winding Road to Happiness

Ali Manno (Fedotowsky) (@ali.manno) has shared a post.

Ali left the program on her own initiative in week six because she was worried about losing her job. She had already won over the hearts of America thanks to her involvement with Roberto Martinez. Their relationship lasted a year and a half before they called it quits.

Although she did not find lasting love on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, she eventually met and married radio personality Kevin Manno. They have since had two children: their daughter Molly, mentioned above, and their 4-year-old son Riley.

Ali told Us Weekly that she wishes I would have met her husband regardless of the episode, but the truth is, if I hadn't seen The Bachelor and Bachelorette, I'm not sure I would have! When she was hosting her travel show 1st Look, Manno was part of the cast.

Fedotowsky-Manno said to Insider, "I am at this magical parenting stage where I have passed through the physical exhaustion of the infant years," but I am not yet at the mentally demanding preteen and teen years." I want to savor these moments.
