Leslie Grace Opens Up About Cancelled Movie 'Batgirl' ...

Leslie Grace will play Barbara Gordon as Batgirl in HBO Max's film Batgirl, directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, and directed by Christina Hodson. Despite this being the first time Barbara Gordon was getting her own headlining role in the live-action world, the film was canceled as part of Warner Bros. Discovery's new strategy for releasing content. They thought it wouldn't make sense in a theatrical release.

It was evidently a disappointment for fans who were eager to see Grace and Keaton pair up. It's especially sad considering how good Hodson's script was for Birds of Prey. However, the film's producers and writers have had a mixed spell. Now, Babs herself and Grace have posted on Instagram, giving fans several behind-the-scenes photos of the film.

Grace would have been another entry into my favorite Batman lore, the make-up. The audience also saw a video of Grace singing while she's putting on the costume and seeming to be having a lot of fun on the set of the film.

Fans receive a front-row appearance to the cast singing Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous Girl" and a whole-hearted attempt at twerking in another video.

The pictures included in the post also provide a better view of the hero who might have been as well as Grace resting on the set, and, interestingly, what appears to be a scene from the ill-fated film.

The behind-the-scenes look was accompanied by the following caption:

"Querida family!" Following the recent news about Batgirl, I am proud of the incredible effort and dedication that all of our amazing cast and crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland. I feel fortunate to have worked alongside absolute leaders and formed bonds for a lifetime in the process! THANK YOU for allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, my own damn hero! #Batgirl for life!

Batgirl was promised to be an exciting new adventure into the DCEU's world; there have been many explanations for Warner Bros Discovery's decision to postpone the film; however, passionate fans continue to hope to see Grace's take on the character in some form.
