Clu Gulager, a character actor, has died at the age of 93 ...

Clu Gulager, who played William H. Bonney in ABC's The Tall Man, became a well-known figure on film and television, working with the likes of Don Siegel, Peter Bogdanovich, John Sturges, John Landis, Sean Baker, and Quentin Tarantino to name a few. He passed away of natural causes.

Gulager is best known for his part in O'Bannon's wacky zombie cult classic The Return of the Living Dead, where he played Burt Wilson. The following year, Gulager was seen in A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, Another Years Later, The Initiation, Blue Jay, and Uninvited.

Gulager starred in NBC's The Virginian, which was later renamed The Men from Shiloh, and in episodes of Murder She Wrote, The Fall Guy, Hawaii Five-O, The F.B.I., Ironside, Wagon Train, Bonanza, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

Gulager went through a tumultuous career, finding fame and reinventing himself, first becoming a western television staple before becoming a horror icon and later earning notoriety for his standout supporting roles in outstanding films such as Tangerine and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood the latter becoming his final film to finish a decades-spanning career on.

Baker, the director of Tangerine, expressed his condolences and gratitude for the late actor on Twitter. Our condolences go out to his friends and family. The famous character actor has certainly left a long-lasting legacy.
