The Elden Ring 1.06 Patch's Major Changes

The Elden Ring 1.06 Patch's Major Changes ...

The Elden Ring 1.06 patch includes improvements to summoning, the White Mask Varres questline, and game balance.

The last Elden Ring update has been a couple of months old, but the game has finally received a fresh patch.

On August 8, 2022, FromSoftware released the Elden Ring version 1.06 update, which includes a surprising amount of changes.

This includes some changes to summoning and a patch for the White Mask Varre Questline, as well as a large amount of balancing improvements and bug fixes. Here are all of the major changes in the patch.

Biggest Changes in the Elden Ring 1.06 Update

In the Elden Ring 1.06 patch, FromSoftware made some significant changes to Summoning and Invading.

Players will be able to send summoning signs to summoning pools in a number of locations now. This should help make the process much more efficient.

Additionally, players may now invade a greater area. This includes distant areas as well.

Elden Ring's White Mask Varre questline is difficult to complete due to the fact that it required playing online.

Tarnished may now complete this quest entirely offline by defeating a new NPC in the game. This will make obtaining the powerful White Mask helm much easier.

The Elden Ring 1.06 patch also includes 12 different balancing adjustments. Most of these are minor, but there are a few that might be game-changing.

FromSoftware has given minor changes to the attack speed as well as the length of time after an attack you may roll for Greatswords, Curved Greatswords, Great Axes, and Great Hammers. This will hopefully increase the strength of your Strength builds.

Another significant change is that the insanely powerful Bloodhounds Step Ash of War has been given a makeover. The travel distance and invincibility frames have been reduced, and spamming the move now results in decreased performance.

Over 30 bug fixes for Elden Ring are listed in the patch notes, including everything from general performance issues to specific flaws with weapons, combat, and dropped runes.
