Titans vs Ravens Preview

The Baltimore Ravens' preseason game starts Thursday with relatively big state, despite without starting quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens have broken the previous record of 19 consecutive preseason victories, established by the Green Bay Packers in the 1960s, and they are poised to add to their 20-game run now. Tennessee will not be able to spoil it on the road during its only preseason.

As they battle for the No. 2 spot, the Titans will really look to evaluate backup quarterbacks Malik Willis and Logan Woodside. Willis is expected to fill the spot in the NFL Draft at pick No. 86 in the third round. Tannehill is expected to replace him someday.

Pat OHara, the Titans' quarterbacks coach, said via independent NFL writer Paul Kuharsky that he is able to retain information fairly well. And things that he hasnt had to do before, such as working from the pocket, his feet must catch up with his mind.

It's getting better; it takes time, according to OHara. Malik has a very strong arm and a really cool skill set, but you cant always rely on that all the time. The geography is different in the pro game, which makes a huge difference.

Tyler Huntly will see a lot of snaps on Thursday, although he only started four games last season.

Bonjour.

Sarah Ellison (@sgellison) will be available on November 22, 2021.

Brett Hundley, who previously stepped in for Aaron Rodgers at Green Bay, and Anthony Brown will both get some time on the field for the Ravens.

Jackson's quarterback concerns stem more from his commitment to the organization than his depth chart order. Jackson is entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Baltimore Ravens.

Harbaugh said in a July 28 press conference that both sides are very eager to do the job. But Lamars aren't going to be in some sort of negotiation all day like they would be in a regular situation. That's part of the deal.
