EastEnders star as the fourteenth contestant on Strictly Come Dancing ...

A brand new member has been added to the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 lineup.

James Bye, who plays Jordan in EastEnders, has been revealed to be attempting his moves on the dance floor.

"My shimmy or my twinkle toes aren't well-known; my kids mock my dad dancing, but it's an honor to be asked and I'll give it my best shot," he said.

"It's truly exciting to follow in the footsteps of some incredible EastEnders talent. I'd love to make everybody proud."

James joined EastEnders in 2014, taking over the role of Martin Fowler, who previously played James Alexandrou.

The father-of-three has been nominated for a number of British Soap awards, including one for Best Storyline in 2016.

Hamza Yassin, presenter of Animal Park, was confirmed for the program the day after she was announced, according to him: "I am absolutely over the moon to be joining Strictly 2022."

"Never in a million years did I think I'd be on such a cool show."

"I've been watching it for years, and I'm shocked I'll ever see it live in front of the British public.

"My dance skills are currently at an all-time high, comparable to a disco vibe from the 1970s, but I'm prepared to work hard and will be shaking it every time I get the chance!"

Fleur East, a former X Factor star, Tony Adams, CBBC star Molly Rainford, Ted Lasso star Ellie Taylor, and Coronation Street's Will Mellor and Kym Marsh have also been confirmed.

Richie Anderson, presenter of BBC Radio 2, Kaye Adams, KISS FM radio DJ Tyler West, comedian Jayde Adams, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, and Bros star Matt Goss.

Strictly Come Dancing is available on BBC One.
