Erin Napier, an HGTV personality, is about to quit television ...

Erin Napier of HGTV revealed that she is preparing for her life after TV and looking forward to fulfilling her dream job away from the spotlight in a stunning admission.

On the August 7 episode of Moms Don't Have Time To Read Books, Napier talked about her new children's book and her life as a busy mom.

Napier has resorted to her plans because to the fact that she has kids.

Napier admitted that co-hosting Home Town with her husband Ben was an accident. Growing up and working in small Laurel, Miss., Napier said she never dreamed of doing a television show.

Napiers are still reeling from the moment they saw the designer and her husband in their beautiful house, and they're now one of the most popular home improvement series on television.

Helen, a four-year-old, and Mae, a one-year-old, have shifted their priorities, making her a far less attractive or viable role as a television star.

When asked how she juggles parenting and work, she said she was fine at resisting peer pressure because no one can pressure me into doing something I do not want to do. Thats number one. Everything must be prioritized after that. If something takes away from them, then it's a no.

But how do the Napiers keep their parenting roles separate from their TV work?

Napier told the podcast hosts that we would not film after that, and we would not film after that. We will film Monday to Friday 8 to 5, we come home at lunch, we see them every day.

The Napiers also have a plan when it comes to traveling to media appearances or film shoots.

Napier said that when we travel, the whole group comes. If it can be just one of us, it will be only two nights until I am home. That's what we've found to be true.

She said her intention is to limit them; she and Ben are not planning huge, extravagant trips right now, but they think this is just the season of their lives, with two girls at the forefront of their attention.

Napier Surprises Fans With Her Future Plans

Napier's long-term plan, which she doubts will include a television show, includes all of this careful planning and boundary-setting.

My goal for you is to ensure that your kids have a wonderful, normal, stable, and happy childhood, according to the author. I want to be there as much as possible. Because I never intended to be on television.

Today, the famous mom said she'll accept stepping away from it all to spend time with her girls.

She admitted that if it were left to me, I would most likely be self-employed and spending all of my time with them.

Napier said she has no illusions that she and Ben will always have a popular TV show or even be focusing on remodeling houses.

I know that television does not exist forever, no matter how wonderful it is. Even Seinfeld ended, everything comes to an end eventually. So I think about what kind of life am I preparing for when that happens.

Napier is looking forward to returning to a different kind of design role when or if it does.

She said that while she's not on television, I wanted to write books for a living. That's what I'll do one day. Books are my life. When I'm done with television, that's my goal.

The 36-year-old said she's working on a children's book like it for grownups that she thinks will be a deeper dive into the same content. She said she wants to also create a series of Lantern House children's books for specific occasions, such as Christmas or birthdays.

Fans may breathe a sigh of relief for the time being, as Napier is working on TV series in the near future, including new episodes of Home Town to come and the recently-announced second season of Home Town Takeover, which is currently filming in Fort Morgan, Colo.
