Season 2 of RuPauls Secret Celebrity Drag Race Preview

According to the VH1 press release, RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race is returning with a new star-studded cast of secret celebrities.

The saying goes on:

Nine well-known personalities from all walks of life have agreed to leave their famous identities behind as they fully embrace the miracle of drag. Each contestant will be kept anonymous until they are asked to reveal themselves, allowing viewers to focus on their charisma, individuality, and ability.

Every week, the celebrities will undergo complete drag transformations and compete in the ultimate lip sync showdown based on a new category until one of them is crowned Americas Next Celeb Drag Superstar and awarded $100,000 for their favorite charity.

Queen Supremes Brooke Lynn Heights, Jujubee, and Monet X Change will take the stage this season, as will RuPaul. They include resident judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews.

The following celebrities were featured in Season one of RuPauls Secret Celebrity Drag Race: Phoebe Robinson, Madison Beer, Hayley Kiyoko, Dustin Milligan, Alex Newell, Tami Roman, Loni Love, Vanessa Williams, Nico Tortorella, Jermaine Fowler, and Jordan Connor.

Hayley Kiyoko talked about being a part of the program after her triumph in season one.

Im able to carry all of my masculinity and femininity much more easily than without experiencing it, she said. It was a win for myself since you aren't only winning money for Planned Parenthood, but everybody wants to win for themselves.

I mean, I jumped at it! It sounded fantastic, and I love the community around Drag Race. But it also sounded quite frightening, because its not an easy task to put on! No, it is a complete transformation.

Season 2 of RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race will air on VH1 on Friday, August 12 at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times.
