Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.2 will continue the Pandaemonium Raid series, and producers Naoki Yoshi-P Yoshida and Toshio Murouchi gave a sneak peek at one of the new fights in the series.
The second Raid series will have four fights for players to master, and will include a lot of new mechanics as well as some new bosses. One of those bosses might seem familiar to those who studied Alphinaud in the early days, or picked up Summoner as a job.
Fans are assuming that this not-so-cuddly carbuncle is the first fight in the Raid series. According to Yoshi-P, it is a mutated carbuncle.
Fans were given a peek at the first few techniques of the match and noted that the floor may offer some clues about what kinds of mechanics players may have to deal with.
Yoshi-P explains that it is a very narrow arena, as translated by the FFXIVDiscord.
Players will also receive a Savage Raids update after the 6.2 patch goes live. Developers are hoping that this will allow raiders who like to race to be the first to enjoy the story sections of the patch before they have to prepare for the Savage Raids.
When Patch 6.2 is released on August 23, further information about the Raids and how players will be able to unlock the new set will be available.
