Following this week's brief teaser, Rick and Morty season 6 has zapped its first full-length teaser online.
As Rick Sanchez, Morty Smith, and their long-suffering family return for 11 new episodes, the cult sci-fi sitcom's latest footage, which is backed by Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid.'
Summer admits to never seeing Die Hard before growing her own Wolverine claws; Rick uses Jerry as a human shield and repels mechanical tentacles; and the titular heroes conclude by refusing to sign off with 'Wubba-lubba-dub-dub!'
Justin Roiland, the show's co-creator, teased why season 6 differs from season 5, which aired this time last year.
"It's really rewarding the fans of the program who have been following the show till this point. So it's like, I think we're kind of returning into the rhythm of Rick and Morty.
"I think season 6 is excellent. Season 6 is freaking amazing." he said to IGN.
Fans of Rick and Morty can expect a manga-style spin-off in the near future, along with a lot more from the main title.
Rick and the gang's multiverse-straddling moves pose challenges to the family bond, but they always rise to the challenge, according to director Takashi Sano.
"It's such a life-affirming sight, and Jerry is no exception." I'm honoured to be given the chance to tell a new story about this wonderful family. I hope you enjoy their adventures."
Season 6 of Rick and Morty will premiere on Adult Swim on Sunday, September 4 in the United States, while a UK date for E4 and All 4 is yet to be announced.
