Following backlash, the League of Legends Star Guardian event comes to an abrupt conclusion ...

The League of Legends Star Guardians is a team of high schoolers who have superhuman abilities, whose sole purpose is to protect the innocent and their own friendships. When the event was interrupted due to various technical difficulties, players couldn't complete the story or even receive the rewards they were due.

Because of this, the Riot support team wrote as many tweets letting everyone know that they were aware of the delays and that a solution was on the way. Well, we now have that fix. They're removing all the missions.

Riot will give all free rewards for players who created an account prior to August 12 and the 24th of August.

When rewards are granted, they may not appear when you login, but theyll be added to players accounts in the near future.

The overall response to this statement has been, unsurprisingly, negative, with players lamenting the lack of communication up until now and the fact that some paid missions have not been honored.

Please be quick on the announcements when something like this happens, since we spent days and weeks without any answers, and I would not have spent all my tokens on orbs until I received the free rewards. In the meantime, check out the League of Legends 12.15 patch notes.
