Cole Sprouse of Riverdale joins Haunting of Hill House in a new Frankenstein-inspired picture ...

Carla Gugino, star of The Haunting of Hill House, is one of a number of new cast members for the upcoming film Lisa Frankenstein.

Cole Sprouse of Riverdale and Kathryn Newton of Supernatural are expected to star in the horror comedy. An unpopular high school student brings a handsome Victorian corpse back to life by accident.

With the help of a broken tanning bed in her garage, she begins to build him into the man she dreams of.

Joe Chrest, Liza Soberano of Alone/Together, and Henry Eikenberry of The Crowded Room all appear on Deadline, with Chrest playing the main character's father.

Lisa Frankenstein is the daughter of Robin Williams, who makes her film directorial debut, and has been directed by Oscar winner Diablo Cody.

Gugino appeared in the follow-up to the popular Netflix horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor and also last year in the action film Gunpowder Milkshake.

Riverdale, a show created by Sprouse, is coming to an end with its seventh season, which show management Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa recently described as "bittersweet."

"I think we were all anticipating that season seven would be our last season," he said.

"It was heartbreaking," Mark and I said. We're so proud of the success we've had, and the call came while we were working on the final episode of season 6.

Lisa Frankenstein has yet to confirm a release date.
