In a new video, Overwatch creator SVB replies to false allegations of sexual misconduct ...

SVB, the creator of Overwatch, will take an indefinite break from the game, which will include new content on his YouTube channel and streaming. This follows allegations of grooming against the creator, which have since been proved to be false.

SVB stated that this was little more than a hoax in a YouTube video explaining how this has affected him. She assured viewers that real victims deserve to be heard.

Please do not use what happened to me as an excuse to despise or discredit actual victims of real crimes, of grooming, of sexual assault, or of sexual misconduct, according to SVB. I would never desire my legacy to have influenced it in any way, shape, or form.

Later in the evening, the Twitter user who made the accusations said the whole thing was fabricated and that they simply wanted to demonstrate how simple it is to cancel someone. Several members of the Overwatch and Overwatch League communities have rushed to support SVB, resulting in the deletion of this users Twitter account.

SVB received screenshots of the tweets while he was streaming, but went to Twitter to see the debate quickly get out of hand, although he feared that he would not be heard. Only a few hours later, the same Twitter account revealed that the whole situation was a joke.

The creator is unsure about his future content creation career. He anticipates that he will return soon to work, but he isn't sure when he will be back.
