Buried Memory is the new patch for Final Fantasy XIV, which will be released later this month ...

Final Fantasy XIV is one of the greatest MMORPGs out there, and its ongoing stream of updates and new content is a major reason why. Next up is patch 6.2, dubbed Buried Memory.

The final details of everything that has been included with the Final Fantasy XIV patch include a new main scenario quest, starting with the Warrior of Light joining up with Vrtra to search for his sister, the lost great wyrm Azdaja. Several new challenges are included with the patch, both of which should be familiar to all FF 14 players.

Patch 6.2 adds the Island Sanctuary, which is a place for players to grow crops and let minions roam free. The Island Sanctuary (and all of the other aforementioned content) can be seen in the Buried Memory trailer below.

Update 6.2 is available on August 23. Those looking to revisit older dungeons will be pleased to know that the Duty Support system is expanding as well: the Aery, the Keeper of the Lake, Sohm Al, and the Vault are all on the list with the update.

If you arent sure where you fit in, Square Enix offers a Buried Memory trailer.
