Soccer Story is an open world game that features turn based combat and real-time soccer matches. Best of all, youll be able to grab it on the Game Pass once it's released.
With a magical soccer ball, you'll be solving overworld puzzles and battling monsters. As the Savior of Soccer, you'll have to improve your personal stats in speed, shooting, and strength.
It would not be a soccer game without the ability to play in real-time matches. However, the developers arent content with adhering to the limitations of reality or social decency. Youll be able to defeat sharks, ninjas, the elderly, and toddlers in soccer matches.
The colorful pixel art style in the teaser reminds me of older Pokemon games on the GBA. Half of the Brazilians who are yelling about the game are just enthused about it.
Indie sports RPGs are erupting at a different pace than Golf Story's creators, but there are definitely similarities in the pixel art style and the ball-based puzzle gameplay. Perhaps other studios will develop basketball or baseball RPGs in the near future.
There is no specific release date yet, but you may sign up for the Steam beta on their website. The game will launch on PC, PlayStation, Game Pass, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
