Hogwarts Legacy has been postponed until 2023 ...

The open-world adventure Hogwarts Legacy, which was originally planned for a holiday release in 2022, has now been released in 2023. Warner Bros. and developer Avalanche Software announced on Friday a delay and new release date for Hogwarts Legacy: February 10, 2023.

Warner Bros. stated on the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account that the new release date applies only to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X versions of Hogwarts Legacy, while the Nintendo Switch version does not have a new release date.

Hogwarts Legacy will be released on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The Nintendo Switch launch date will be revealed soon. The team is eager for you to play, but we need more time to provide the best possible gaming experience. pic.twitter.com/zh0EsOvDb7

The player character is a new wizard or witch, except they're starting as a fifth-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the late 1800s.

In light of Rowlings public and transphobic remarks on gender identity, Hogwarts Legacy does not exist within the Harry Potter canon.
