The ultimate goal in Cult of the Lamb is to build a cult that is capable of freeing an ancient god known as The One Who Waits. The first thing you need to get started with your cult (other than being ordained by an ancient god) is a large following, which youll start amassing by the end of the games tutorial. If you cannot command them, here's how to do it in Cult of the Lamb.
How to command followers
The first thing you need to do is initiate a conversation with them. As shown above, youll have a few options, including mind-reading, as you progress in the game. Selecting this option will open up a second list of options for what specific action youd like your follower to perform, like gathering wood, stone, or fruits.
Some actions will not be available as commands at the start, and youll have to unlock them as you progress further in the game. There are also follower actions that are only accessible via different options in the conversation menu. For instance, making a follower eat or sleep is something you can do under the interact option, and is treated as a demand rather than a command.
If you have a lot of work to be done and you're looking for more followers to assist you, you can do so by going on crusades. Simply follow the followers icon in the room, defeating all opponents, and returning the follower to your base.
