Andrew Le Page of Love Island discusses why he left Jacques O'Neill ...

Andrew Le Page of Love Island has explained why he did not follow Jacques O'Neill on social media.

A video in which Andrew's girlfriend Tasha Ghouri quotes Davide Sanclimenti's now-infamous line has surfaced online, and Andrew has since deleted her.

Andrew said of the unfollow: "Yeah, it certainly is true. Tasha is my top priority, and there was certainly a video that came out. We're trying to be ourselves and just enjoy life."

After hosting an Instagram Live over the weekend, Jacques and fellow contestant Luca Bish have been accused of bullying. Both poked fun at Adam Collard and Paige Thorne's friendship and mocked Remi Lambert's rapping.

Remi issued a statement after his time on the ITV2 show, claiming that the two men harassed him daily.

"Everyone said I lied about the way I was treated in that villa, but this is an example of what transpired while I was there," he wrote. "Its not banter, it's clear evidence of bullying."

Jacques has since issued a statement of his own to apologise for his actions, writing: "I want to acknowledge the situation that's happening right now and apologise if my actions have caused harm or been misinterpreted in the last few weeks.

"I have no bad feelings whatsoever toward anyone, and I have not meant for anything to come across that way at all." It was not my intention, and I'm sorry if it has been.

"Life has been very overwhelming in recent months, and while I've probably not handled myself in the best possible way," says the author. I accept full responsibility for my actions. I'm aware I'm far from perfect, and that there is work to be done on myself.

Love Island is available on ITV2 and via catch up on ITV Hub and Britbox.
