Devi Vishwakumar's relationship with Paxton Hall-Yoshidas is as high-school public as it gets, right down to walking the hallways hand-in-hand. So why is Devi not happy about her hard-won relationship status?
The quick answer is: haters. The longer answer is the gossipy trio of Shira, Zoe, and Carley, who assume Devi must be a jerk in order to keep Paxtons attention. And when Devi marches up to them and declares that she and Paxton havent slept together yet, the ladies quickly switch to celebrating the fact that hell might be single again soon, because there is no way hell to stay with Devi if they aren't having sex.
Devi decides to do the deed with Paxton. Eleanor, Aneesa, and Fabiola cheer her on during a pre-date summit. Kamala, having guessed whats up, counsels her cousin to be sure shes really ready to take such a huge step. She turns her head back and says, "I'll put it in me." (Oh honey.)
Paxton refuses to answer as asked, stating that they may have sex as slowly as she likes. She is concerned that her definition of slow might be different from his, but he assures her that they have all the time in the world. And then, fully clothed, they watch TikToks.
Devi realizes that Zoe, Carley, and Shira dont remember their off-handed remarks to her. John McEnroe voices are great, right? Well, at dinner that night, Devi gets an anonymous message warning her: You better watch out, Devi. Paxton Hall-Yosidha isn't who you think he is. Uh-oh.
