The Last Song (2010)

Julie Anne Robinson | 1 h 47 min

Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Greg Kinnear, Bobby Coleman, and Kelly Preston make their appearances.

He encourages her to reinvigorate her rebellious side further and she becomes the perfect yin and yang couple.

The Last Song has all the usual characteristics of a Sparks adaptation: a lovely young couple, a terminally ill character, and a lot of kissing on the beach. Unlike some of his other films, The Last Song remains in its own niche, never attempting to discuss more important topics like religion or philosophy. It has charm, there are some truly heartbreaking scenes, and Cyrus came into her own as an actress. - Emma Kiely
