The heat has returned, and we're desperately trying to remain indoors here at Nintendo Life! We've also got a look back at everything that was shown off at Kirby's Dream Buffet's release date. And there's a beautiful hand-drawn Metroidvania that will be released later this month on Switch!
Some of us on the team were a bit worried about the upcoming sequel of Splatoon 3, but this Direct may have lowered our fears. We spoke with the group behind the indie hit Cult of the Lamb and poked fun with the 'vile Animal Crossing' comparisons. And, apparently, liking Krookodile makes this writer a big crocodile fan (not denying it) but what does your favourite Pokemon mean about you?
It's time to relax and talk about our weekend gaming plans. Below, several members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that, so please feel free to rate and comment on our posts.

After seeing the reviews for Cult of the Lamb, I was legitimately excited to jump into the game. I bought a bunch of visual novels at the eShop sale, 13 Sentinels, and Danganronpa 1 and 2, and I still have to finish those. I mean, I was already excited about it. And then I interviewed the art director, and I just got more excited. I love murdering people to please my chthonic patron deity.
Oh, and Portal 2. I've already completed Portal 1 for Backlog Club!

Okay, so I've just finished Chapter 2 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and WOW, what a game! The last chapters in Chapter 2 could have easily surpassed the final scenes in any other game; it was unbelievably epic.
This weekend is my second gaming weekend. I'll be reading The Complete Witcher series on my Kindle, because I recently purchased it from Amazon for 99p! It's good so far! Granted, I'm still in the first book of short stories, so I'm certainly not quite there yet.

I'll be looking for new flats for me to rent during the weekend, so Moving Out feels like a good start to the day, like you see a professional athlete getting some shots in early to warm up, and I'll be shouting at my co-op to just pass me the freaking box! (Editor's note: It's a shame you're not playing Jim Is Moving Out!)
I think it would be beneficial to take a break from the world of moving for a while, which is why I am excited to restart Live A Live. Despite all that I have done thus far, I feel that I havent given it the attention it deserves, and what better way to take a break from housing stress than with Yoko Shimomura's rich soundtrack?
Alana Hagues, staff writer
This week it's more Xenoblade Chronicles 3. In the span of a week, I've progressed one whole chapter. Just one. I've been attempting to progress more classes, recruit all of the Heroes, and explore every inch of every map, but the new area I've just reached is huge! As Eunie would say, it's sparkin' good!
Stay cool and safe, folks! Drink plenty of water and enjoy plenty of ice cream.
As always, thank you for reading! Make sure to leave a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!
