The Nintendo Direct for Splatoon 3 revealed a slew of information about the upcoming sequel, including new gameplay modes, maps, and weapons. The latter of these, though, caught our attention, with the slashing Splatana Wiper and accurate Tri-Stringer both promising to make an impact on the battlefield on September 9th.

Nintendo has released a new series of Japanese trailers showing these items in use in the real world. Many thanks to Nintendo Everything!

The first four segments of the game are dedicated to showcasing a selection of the weapons that will be available to you in the game.

A child with an umbrella avoids incoming ink as his item transforms into one of Splatoon 2's Brellas, and an artist transforms his studio into a battlefield wiening an Octobrush.

The winner of Splatoon 3 is the archer whose bow is transformed into one of the game's new weapons, the Tri-Stringer, which gives us some more gameplay shots of the long-range item in action as well as some of the most fun archery we've ever seen.

The final two trailers discuss the game in a different light. The first look at all of the new features, including snippets of the new Salmon Run, the Return of the Mammalians, and the new musical trio Deep Cut. The last one looks at a typical friendly game of Splatoon that's very competitive, very messy, and very colorful.

All of the trailers for Nintendo's Japanese YouTube channel may be seen here. The easiest place to find them is in the Splatoon 3 playlist, which we've linked here.

Splatoon 3 will be released on Switch on September 9th, so be sure to get those pre-orders in now if you want to get ahead of the game.
