A recent contestant who died in a violent accident in California is mourning the death of a Dancing with the Stars judge.
According to Fox News, actress Anne Heche died from a severe brain injury on Friday, August 12, 2022.
Heche was reported to have driven her car at a high rate of speed before smashing into a vehicle and two buildings, before the last collision igniting a fire. Cocaine and fentanyl were discovered in Heches' system when she was admitted to the hospital late last week, according to TMZ.
Heche was a contestant on the 29th season of DWTS in 2020, after being eliminated from the competition for the third time, alongside her pro partner Keo Motsepe, but she made an impact on the cast of the ABC celebrity ballroom competition.
Following Anne Heches' death, Carrie Ann Inaba issued a statement.
Carrie Ann Inaba, the judge for Dancing With the Stars, addressed People, describing the Men in Trees star as a unique individual who was equally open and vulnerable, yet also so direct and courageous.
Inaba explained that she felt like a person who was often misunderstood and that she made mistakes as well. However, when I saw her perform up close, all I could feel from her was joy and an open heart. She was a sociable person who was willing to fail.
Heche will always be a part of the DWTS family, according to Inaba.
