The next fighters from MultiVersus, Black Adam and Stripe, have been unveiled ...

The first season of MultiVersus content will begin Monday, with players getting an unexpected surprise: two newly confirmed fighters. Developer Player First Games and Warner Bros. revealed that Black Adam from the DC Universe and Stripe from Gremlins will be returning to MultiVersus in new artwork from the competitive platform fighter.

In MultiVersus, Black Adam joins DC heroes Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, as well as fellow anti-hero Harley Quinn. The one-time villain and archenemy of Captain Marvel (the DC one) is, of course, set to arrive just as Black Adam (the Dwayne The Rock Johnson-starring superhero film) is getting its theatrical release.

Nor has Stripes made it to MultiVersus, but Gremlins enthusiasts will certainly be eager to savor the mogwai-fed-after-midnight at some point this season. When Player First will unveil the Greta skin for Stripe, many will be tempted to savor the Greta skin.

Black Adam and Stripe will have to wait for MultiVersus to add other confirmed additions, including Rick and Morty from Rick and Morty, to the Smash-like free-to-play fighting game first. The good news is that Morty will be joining MultiVersus on August 23.

MultiVersus currently has a roster of 17 characters that can be unlocked with in-game currency earned by playing, or premium currency sold in the free-to-play games marketplace. According to a datamine leak back in March, characters like Harry Potter, Fred Flintstone, and Gizmo from Gremlins might eventually join the game.

MultiVersus is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
