After regaining a locked account, GTA 5 cheats make the player a billionaire ...

One innocent GTA Online has been left with billions to spend at the Diamond Casino and Resort after they retrieved their locked account to find a stash of left-behind online cash, while Rockstar, who is apparently busy working on the upcoming sandbox game GTA 6, so far seems content to let them enjoy their luck.

The player, who goes by the name MoistWave, claims that their account was hacked while they were inactive in GTA 5, but that when they returned, they had almost two billion casino chips in their account.

Truthfully, MoistWave does not know what happened when my account was hacked. I only learned when trying to reset my password that the email linked to my account had been changed.

MoistWave has updated their original post to reflect that their lost account has been restored, despite Rockstar's intervention. In the past, we've reported how GTA 5 hackers can access other players' game files during peer-to-peer games, and modify them to upload different scripts, textures, and character models, including one particularly tragic incident involving a chimpanzee. Hackers can also exploit GTA Online to free up in-game cash and casino chips.

The new Declasse Draugur is also being added to GTA Online. Regardless, Rockstar is apparently transferring the majority of its resources to the next edition of the notorious crime sandbox, which you can read all about courtesy of our guide to the GTA 6 release date rumors and news.
