Florence Pugh has announced her separation from Zach Braff.

The former couple, according to the actress, had split earlier this year, but had tried to keep things private.

"We've been trying to do this separation without the world knowing," she told Harper's Bazaar.

"We just felt that something like this would really give us the benefit of not having millions of people tell us how thankful they are that we're not together."

"Whenever I speak up about it, I'm always a lumpy throat," she said.

In 2019, Pugh met the Scrubs star when he directed her in a short film called In The Time It Takes To Get There.

Pugh previously said: "I'm old enough to be an adult and pay taxes, but I'm not old enough to know whom I should and should not have sex with."

"Yet again, making a young lady feel like a jerk for no reason. I think I felt shit for a while... and then I thought how ridiculous is that? I'm 24 and I can't choose who I love?

"There's a reason why I'm not with someone my age," says the author.

In a Harper's Bazaar interview, Pugh is also scheduled to star in Braff's forthcoming film A Good Person. Working together was "probably one of my favorite experiences."

"It felt like a very natural and straightforward thing to do," she added.

"I know I'm biased, but the performance in the film is the most remarkable you'll ever see," Braff said previously.

"I'm not overselling it." Morgan Freeman is dramedy. She's going toe-to-toe with her. "You haven't seen Morgan like this in years."

"I know that everything Florence does is incredible,," Braff, the man who wrote and directed the film, said. People think she is the greatest actress of her generation.

"She's one of the best actresses working, and this performance she gives is incredible," says the author.

Don't Worry Darling, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, Oppenheimer and Dune: Part Two, in which she will play Princess Irulan.
