The star of Better Call Saul has given up the opportunity to reprise the role of Loki in a bigger MC ...

When he contemplated playing Loki, Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Saul in Better Call, admitted that the Breaking Bad universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe splintered.

The actor Gus Fring announced that he would like to appear in a Marvel film.

"You can't change and play a different character in the Marvel Universe if you do something in television," Esposito said during a presentation at Fan Expo Boston (via ComicBook.com).

"So, out of that meeting, which was fantastic, I had some interest in doing something with them which they've since done, I think it was Loki at that time, and someone else has done Loki, that's fantastic, in television," he added.

"I'd like to be invited to the table to do something in film because I have a big persona and I've been in the television world for a while and I've still got a few films each year."

Professor X, an intriguing character for Esposito.

"I'd play that person with force, grace, and a calm," said the actor.

Charles Xavier is in a position to be taken at the moment, as Patrick Stewart has recently reprised the role of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The Mandalorian actor has a good chance to take on the role of the X-Men leader in a different dimension, given that this is the multiverse we're talking about.

Better Call Saul is now available on AMC in the United States and Netflix in the United Kingdom.
