The premiere date for Season 5 of the popular martial arts series Cobra Kai is just around the corner, which means we can trust Netflix to provide information that will reveal what we can expect from the upcoming new episodes. The series centers on old-time adversaries who are still at odds more than three decades after their confrontation in the classic martial arts film The Karate Kid.
Netflix released a package of videos showing new students of Cobra Kai, as well as a look at popular characters Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Danny LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) as well as the return of Karate Kid III star Sean Kanan, who is set to reprise his role as Mike Barns. Cobra Kai is a sequel to the late 80s film franchise with Macchio and Pat Morita. The program focuses on Terry Silver returning his karate dojo, which he has since reintroduced, and the series has done quite well so far, audience-wise.
Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Vanessa Rubio, Peyton List, Martin Kove, Dallas Dupree Young, Oona OBrien, and Griffin Santopietro star in the show.
