Netflix has ordered The Mole Revival

Netflix has ordered The Mole Revival ...

The Mole, a former ABC reality show, is returning after a 14-year break.

Netflix announced on Wednesday that it has ordered a 10-episode remake, which is expected to premiere this autumn, according to Variety.

The OGMole, which was first hosted by Anderson Cooper, lasted five seasons between 2001 and 2008. Players worked together to complete missions that would boost their group income, but among them was the mole, a player who had been pre-chosen to sabotage their earning efforts. Each episode ended with a quiz, and the person who knew the least about the moles' identity was eliminated.

With heaps of mystery sprinkled in, this show was a mix of reality-TV drama and extreme stunts, making it one of the early aughts' most captivating reality shows.

Cooper left the program after two seasons, at which point Ahmad Rashad took over and presided over a pair of celebrity cycles both of which are currently streaming on Netflix. A fifth and final season, which returned to its original civilian form, was hosted by Jon Kelley.

There is no word on who will host the Netflix revival.

The Mole is part of a growing list of unscripted shows on Netflix, including The Circle, Is It Cake?, Love On the Spectrum, Nailed It!, Selling Sunset, Too Hot to Handle, The Ultimatum, and the reboots of Iron Chef and Queer Eye.
