Eight world-class women are vying for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series this year, but only one will walk away a winner.
All of the Emmy drama categories weve covered so far are back this year. Gillian Anderson won last year for playing Margaret Thatcher on Netflix's The Crown, but we do have a two-time winner in the mix, with Ozark standout Julia Garner hoping to win her third Emmy for playing nature Ruth Langmore. (Garner is a favorite among Emmy voters: They also nominated her for a lead actress in a limited series for playing scam queen Anna Delvey on Inventing Anna.
Shell is facing some stiff competition, starting with Patricia Arquette, who has already won two Emmy Awards for her role as boss lady Harmony Cobel in the Apple TV+ thriller Severance. Sarah Snook is nominated for the second time for her role as Shiv Roy's sister on the HBO drama, and she is joined by J. Smith-Cameron, who has her first career nomination for corporate attorney Gerri.
Christina Ricci was nominated for a guest spot on Showtimes Yellowjackets (she was also nominated back in 2006 for a Greys Anatomy guest spot), and Rhea Seehorn, who finally broke through as attorney Kim Wexler in the final season of Better Call Saul, is in the running for playing Euphorias tragically lovestruck teen Cassie, as is Jung Ho-yeon for playing Squid Game contestant Kang Sae-bye
