Jessica Gao, the creator, writer, and showrunner of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, gave a brief overview of the upcoming Disney+ series' behind-the-scenes process, from her initial observations in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to her praise of the VFX artists who take on an "impossible task," to her conclusion that any MCU fan would want to read.

Adam B. Vary of Variety first inquires on how conscious Gao is about her budget when she is composing scenes, to which Gao replies that Keven Fiege was the one who told her If I'll see She-Hulk, I'll write as I please.' But Gao acknowledges that when she got the budget back, she had to make some adjustments.

Variety follows up by pointing out that the pilot episode was initially positioned as the penultimate episode of the 9-episode series, which included many of the training sequences between She-Hulk and Smart Hulk that were previously shown in many trailers.

"There were a lot of variables that pushed us to make the decision, but we just realized that people wanted to know that information sooner. It was difficult for them to ignore the origin story and then get to know this character."
