Variety is reporting that four new Christmas movies will be available exclusively on Discovery+ on November 11, but with a twist. The four films will be produced by the Food Network and HGTV and will feature some of the channels' most well-known actors.
Food Network and HGTV have maintained their focus on reality programming since the early 1990s, with Food Network developing cook shows while HGTV focusing on home improvement. However, this move follows the success of last years Candy Coated Christmas, which premiered exclusively on the streamer and featured the host of Food Networks The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond. This year, the holiday fun will include four movies, and HGTV will also be getting into the holiday spirit!
Fans of Food Network will get One Delicious Christmas with iron chef and mainstay Bobby Flay and A Gingerbread Christmas with pastry chef and host Duff Goldman, who will play a food celebrity who is hosting a gingerbread house competition for a huge cash prize.
Ben and Erin Napier will be playing a pair of gifted home renovators who help the main character renovate her late mother's house in time to sell it by Christmas, while Hilary Farr will be playing the smart mentor to the host of a home renovation program who struggles to separate work and love.
Kathleen Finch, the chairman and chief content officer of Warner Bros. Discovery, told Variety in a statement about the four forthcoming films:
HGTV and Food Network, which combined attracted 90 million seasonal viewers last year, have expanded their offerings and produced four scripted holiday features for Discovery+, each highlighting some of the greatest personalities from Food Network and HGTV. They will be promoted to roughly 35% of the available cable audience by running spots on HGTV, Food, and the rest of the WBD portfolio of 25+ cable networks, exposing our great talent to even more potential customers.
On November 11, you can stream these four-holiday movies exclusively on Discovery+.
Below you can see the whole synopsis of all four films:
A Christmas Open House:

Stella (Jessica Szohr) and Pablo (Marco Grazzini) have enthralled homeowners and viewers alike by trusting their knowledge and genuine on-screen connection despite not being an actual couple. This has prompted Stella to reconsider her future husband's decision to renovate their Victorian home in time for the Christmas Eve ceremony.
A Gingerbread Christmas:
Hazel Stanleys (Tiya Sircar)'s job prospects as a full-time architect are in jeopardy. While there, she discovers that the family bakery is even worse than she expected, having recently opened a trendy new bakeshop nearby. She also discovers that her former best friend, James Meadows (Duff Goldman), has sponsored a $100k challenge to help her father's struggling bakery.
One Delectable Christmas
