Madden NFL 23, EA Sports's signature NFL simulation game, will launch on Friday, Aug. 19, for the first time in five years, with a two-edition tribute to the series' namesake, John Madden, who died in December.
Subscribers to EA Play and those who pre-ordered the All-Madden Edition are already eligible for a three-day preview beginning Tuesday. But what can football fans expect from the pre-order incentive and special edition? What if you prefer the standard edition?
Here's how to get Madden NFL 23 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Madden NFL 23 pre-order bonus
Madden NFL 23's pre-order bonus includes a set of virtual goods for Ultimate Team gameplay. Players can select two Elite-level Ultimate Team players, one on offense and one on defense, from a list of options. Additionally, they receive a Madden Strategy Item for their players.
Those who pre-order through Best Buy, which does have digital versions, will also receive a $15 Best Buy gift card.
Madden NFL 23 Standard Edition
What you see when you buy Madden NFL 23, for your platform of choice, is what you get from the game. It may be obtained through the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store as well as Steam, Origin, and the Epic Games Store. The game costs $59.99 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Madden NFL 23 All-Madden Edition
Madden NFL 23 All-Madden Edition, priced at $99.99, includes additional content that players may use to build their Ultimate Teams quickly. Moreover, the All-Madden Edition includes access to both the last-and current-gen versions of the game.
No matter if customers pre-order this edition, they get the pre-order bonus content (two Elite players, All-Madden gear, and strategy item) that they already have (there was a reward for All-Madden Edition pre-orders that expired July 22.) Madden Points is a premium virtual currency used by Ultimate Team players.
