The Genshin Impact fandom has been sparked by Albedos' thigh ...

Ana, the person behind the screen who wrote this article, is a professional culture writer for Polygon. I've written about Mario cum pipe memes, and Sonic characters going to the mall. But now, the Genshin Impact fandom has given me the opportunity to tell you that Albedo's thighs are no longer visible between his tailored shorts and his thigh-high boots.

As an alchemist, the blond ponytail-wearing swordsman is well-known for his artistic abilities as well as his research abilities. Albedo wears tall boots, long socks, and shorts. Usually, his socks cover the area of skin between his shorts and boots, but on Saturday, Hoyoverse posted official artwork on their Bilibili account to commemorate their 13 million followers.

That's all there is to it. But the fandom has reacted to the chalky inch of skin with unquenchable thirst. Albedo was popular on Twitter on Monday, and his name surpassed 27 thousand tweets online as fans posted new fan art, cosplays, and memes about his thighs.

Some people mocked the fan response, posing as cute memes. One Redditor compared the reaction to a Victorian man seeing an ankle, since all this thirst came from a single inch of skin.

The outpouring of support is ironic given that Hoyoverse released a slew of (arguably) lesser news over the weekend. There was a livestream on Saturday that revealed a ton of new information about the Genshin Impacts big new Sumeru update, which will introduce a new region, new characters, and a new elemental power, among other changes.

Because this is not the first time that Hoyoverse has released fan art that has sparked similar reactions, such as the one depicted in a tree, blushing, and his mouth open. A few weeks earlier, we received birthday art of Childe that showed him with his jacket unbuttoned, which once again sparked outrage.

All we need now is for Hoyoverse to restore the Albedos banner so that we can all wish for him.
